Push Ups for ALS

Students doing push-ups at the Push Ups for ALS event, April 8, 2026

Push Ups for ALS occurred on April 8, 2026, in memory of my dad, “Brother” Frank Albrecht, who did as many push ups as his age every day until the year he died at age 66. We raised $66,000 for ALS research in his name.

Proceeds from Push Ups for ALS 2026 co-funded a grant to support Dr. Pietro Fratta on novel TDP-43 biomarkers through the Packard Center. Updates to come.

Several of these projects require funding, and the project needs for funds fluctuate. To donate to these efforts, please give to an unrestricted fund that is split evenly between End the Legacy and research projects driven towards curing genetic ALS/FTD.
